Gold price shoots up by Rs 1950 to Rs 94,100 per tola

March 4, 2020 (MLN): Contrary to the previous session, today, gold witnessed a sharp increase in demand as it shot up by Rs 1,950 to close at Rs 94,100 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 92,150 per tola on previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, gold price per 10 gram gained Rs 1,671 to settle at Rs 80,675.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained flat and closed at Rs 1000 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver remained stable at Rs 857.33.

In the global market, gold prices rose by $42 to $1,634 per ounce, while silver was valued at $17.25 per ounce.
