Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs200 per tola

January 17, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs282,600 per tola, up Rs400.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs242,283 after a gain of Rs342, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs222,100 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,406 per tola (-Rs27) and Rs2,920 per 10-gram (-Rs23).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,706 an ounce, down $8.4 or 0.31% from the previous session.

Gold prices eased on Friday but were still headed for a third consecutive week of gains, as U.S. inflation data and dovish comments from a Federal Reserve official revived hopes the central bank might cut interest rates more than once this year.
