TRG case files stolen en route to Islamabad

July 16, 2025 (MLN): The Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry has issued an office memo stating that case files related to The Resource Group International Limited vs. Muhammad Ziaullah Khan Chishti and others were stolen while being transferred to the Principal Seat in Islamabad.

According to the memo, the courier company M&P’s vehicle was robbed during transit, resulting in the theft of the subject petition’s files.

In response, the Supreme Court has directed the Advocate-on-Record, Mr. K.A. Wahab, to immediately file fresh petitions along with three paper books in each case to prevent any delays in court proceedings.

The memo emphasized that this step is necessary to avoid inconvenience to the Court and ensure that the hearing of the cases proceeds without interruption.
