Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs2,000 per tola

February 21, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs307,000 per tola, down Rs2,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs263,203 after a decline of Rs1,714, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs241,278 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,430 per tola (-Rs38) and Rs2,940 per 10-gram (-Rs33).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,934 an ounce, down $6.8 or 0.23% from the previous session.

Gold prices fell on Friday but were set for an eighth straight week of gains on the back of two consecutive record highs, as safe-haven demand remained strong amid concerns about U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff plans.
