Gold price dips by Rs2,000 per tola after reaching all-time high of Rs134,400

April 8, 2022 (MLN): After reaching an all-time high of Rs134,300 per tola yesterday, 24-karat gold price in domestic bullion market declined by Rs2000 per tola to Rs132,300 per tola on Friday, the data issued by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed today.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also dipped by Rs1,715 and was traded at Rs113,426 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs103,974 compared to Rs105,545 reported yesterday.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,520 and Rs1,303, respectively.

Precious gold in the international market traded at $1,933 an ounce, up by $6 as geopolitical risks generated by the war in Ukraine and rising inflation offering support to the precious metal. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $24.72 compared to $24.43 an ounce yesterday.
