Gold nears Rs300,000 per tola

February 05, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs299,600 per tola, up Rs5,300.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs256,859 after a gain of Rs4,545, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs235,454 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola (+Rs36) and Rs2,872 per 10-gram (+Rs31).

Gold prices soared to a historic high on Wednesday, reaching unprecedented levels as investors flocked to the precious metal amid growing economic uncertainty.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,866 an ounce, up $25.3 or 0.89% from the previous session.

Gold prices climbed 1% on Wednesday, continuing their record rally as investors sought the safe-haven asset due to concerns about the escalating U.S.-China trade war and its impact on economic growth.
