Gold edges higher by Rs600

October 1, 2021 (MLN): Snapping its two-day losing streak, gold in the domestic bullion market took a breather, as the price of 24-karat gold inched up by Rs600 to close at Rs114,100 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also dropped by Rs514 and was traded at Rs97,822 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs89,670, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the contrary, the price of 24-karat silver remained stagnant at Rs1,400. Likewise, the price of 10-gram silver stayed flat at Rs1,200.27.

In the international market, the demand for gold surged by $31 to $1,754 an ounce owing to a dip in U.S bond yields. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $22.24 an ounce compared to $22.50 an ounce the day before.
