Gold drops by Rs2,800 per tola in domestic bullion

January 16, 2023 (MLN): The safe-haven gold has witnessed a notable decline in its demand today as the price of per tola 24 karat plunged by Rs2,800 to trade at Rs184,500 as compared to the previous close of Rs181,700 per tola.

Similarly, the rates of 10-gram 24-karat gold also dropped by Rs2,401 to Rs158,179, while the price of 10-gram 22-karat stood at Rs144,997, as per reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

Likewise, the price of silver per tola moved down by Rs20 to Rs2,080, while the price of 10-gram silver also decreased by Rs17.15 to Rs1,800.41.

Internationally, gold lost its shine by $5 and sold at $1,915 per ounce while the price of silver stood at $24.25 per ounce.
