FBR denies Tax filing date extended, says circular floating on social media is fake

December 8, 2020 (MLN): The Federal Bureau of Revenue has clarified that the news regarding extension of tax filing date is incorrect and the circular floating around on social media is fake.

Responding on their twitter account FBR stated “The FBR has clarified that the letter attributed to the FBR regarding the extension in the date of submission of income tax returns is fake. The date will not be extended.”

Earlier, the FBR had issued instructions to facilitate granting of extensions in filing of IT.
