September 21, 2023 (MLN): The General Elections will held in the last week of January 2024, according to the statement by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued on Thursday.
The ECP, in a statement, said that the initial list for the delimitation of constituencies will be issued on September 27.
Later on, the final list will be issued by the end of November 2023, and after a 54-day election programme, polls will be held in the last week of January 2024.
Earlier, President Arif Alvi recommended the Chief Election Commissioner, Sikandar Sultan Raja to hold elections on November 6, which is the 89th day after the end of the National Assembly term, as per an official letter issued by the President on September 13.
