The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the combined consumption group showed a marginal increase of 0.22% for the week ending October 23, 2025, while on a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis, the overall inflation stood at 5.03%, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

OMO Result: SBP injects over Rs4tr
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted a reverse repo and Shariah Compliant Modarabah based Open Market Operation (OMO) today, in which it cumulatively injected a total of Rs4.24trillion into the market of which Rs3.91tr were injected through reverse repo OMO.

Pakistan receives $437m external financing in September
Pakistan secured external financing worth $436.66 million in September 2025 from multiple financing sources, 35.7% lower than last month and 26.4% lower than the same month last year, the latest monthly report by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) showed.
