SBP reserves rise $66m to $17.15bn

May 29, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $66 million or 0.39% WoW to $17.15 billion during the week ended on May 22, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $58m or 0.26% WoW to $22.65bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $8m or 0.15% WoW to $5.5bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.64bn or 18.24%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $1.07bn or 6.69%.
