ECC to discuss FCA for the months of Nov’19 to Jun’20

May 4, 2021 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting to be held on Wednesday, 5th May, 2021, will discuss the matter of Fuel Charges Adjustment for the month of November 2019 to June 2020 for XWDISCOs to improve the efficiency of power sector.

Besides, the other important agendas for this meeting comprise of the following points:

  • Provision of technical supplementary grant for upgradation of health care facilities at Cantonment General Hospital Rawalpindi for FY 2018-19
  • Supplementary grant of Rs800million equivalent to $5.162mn under demand no.42
  • Allocation of additional funds for Implementation Tribunal Newspaper Employees (ITNE)
  • Construction of Islamabad High Court building at G-5/1, Islamabad (Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs571.216mn)
  • Construction of New Building for Supreme Court, branch registry at Karachi (Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs350mn)
  • Provision of additional funds of Rs198.017mn for Isolated Hospital and Infections Treatment Centre, Islamabad
  • Release of Funds to NDMA for implementation of NDMA’s Component under Karachi Transformation Plan (KTP)
  • Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs48.337mn for Parliamentary Secretaries under demand no. 128
  • Technical Supplementary Grant amounting to Rs17.739mn in favor of Geological Survey of Pakistan under demand no. 050(ID No. QA-9020 Geo-Science Advance Research Laboratories, Islamabad) for FY 20-21
  • Approval of Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) amounting to Rs1563.046mn during FY 2020-21 for the projects titled “Improving Human Development Indicators in Pakistan with Focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” and “Establishment & Operation of Basic Education Community Schools”
  • Approval of Supplementary Grant in favor of NCHD, Ministry of Federal Eductaion and Professional Training
  • Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution through Export Policy Order, 2020 and Import Policy Order, 2020
  • Revision in the Key Terms of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan –Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme
  • Uninterrupted supply of Oxygen Gas in the country for medical purposes
  • Tax on Payments to the offshore supply contractor
  • Approval for arragemnet of additional power from NTDC to K-Electric
  • Retargeting of power sector subsidies- phase-I
