ECC to approve TSG on account of 'Wheat Subsidy' for GB govt

April 04, 2024 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held on April 04, 2024, at 1100 hours, will likely approve the Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) on Account of Wheat Subsidy to Government of Gilgit- Baltistan. 

Discussion on the repayment of the Cash Development Loan (CDL) of Lahore Garment City Company (LGCC) is also included in the agenda. 

In addition, a Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs3.820bn will likely be approved for HEC under the World Bank Project Higher Education Development in Pakistan (IDA Credit)

To clear the outstanding liabilities of media houses, a technical supplementary grant of Rs1.6bn might also be approved. 

The request for provision of shortfall of funds of Rs1696.431 million under the current budget of passport organization for FY 2023-24 is also added in the agenda item. 

The committee will also discuss the demand for a technical supplementary grant for Rs300m under Head A03906-Uniform & Liveries during FY24. 

Approval of a grant amounting to Rs103 million within the sanctioned budget for helicopter maintenance by HQs Frontier Corps Balochistan (North), Quetta during FY24 will also be discussed.
