ECC likely to approve allocation of gas from Mari (deep) to SNGPL

March 14, 2022 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, is likely to approve an allocation of gas from Mari (Deep) gas reservoir to Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL).

The meeting will be chaired by Shaukat Tarin, Minister for Finance and Revenue.

Besides, the other important agendas for this meeting comprised of the following points:

• Re-allocation of OGDCL’s Jhang Magsi Gas to SSGCL
• Summary for ECC of the Cabinet for Ramzan Relief Package 2022.
• Letter of Comfort and re-issuance of Existing Bank Guarantee in favour of Faysal Bank Limited (As Agent/Investment Agent for the New Finance Agreement W.R.T Pipeline Infrastructure Development Project LNG-II
• G-20 Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI)
• Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) of Rs3,500 million for the project titled “Pak University of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (PUEET) (Knowledge Economy Initiative)
• Technical Supplementary grant to Pakistan Military Accounts Department (PMAD) for conversion of pensioners to Direct Credit System (DCS)
