ECC approves operations of FATIMA, AGL on subsidized RLNG

November 16, 2022 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet in its meeting on Tuesday allowed operations of Fatima fertilizer and Agritech Limited plants on subsidized Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) from Oct’22 to Dec’22, a statement issued by finance division stated. 

In the meeting, ECC also approved technical supplementary grants of Rs100 million in favor of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the creation of the Film and Drama Finance Fund for the promotion and support of the film industry in Pakistan.

In addition, Rs9.77 billion including FEC $12.67mn for the Ministry of Defence against various approved projects during CFY 2022-23, and Rs60.61mn granted to the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR).

The summary on the continuation of subsidized RLNG supply to FATIMA and AGL Plants from Oct’22 to Dec’22 was submitted by the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar presided over the said meeting.
