ECC approves revision of HSD premium on fortnightly basis

March 25, 2022 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Friday, approved the summary submitted by Petroleum Division on High-Speed Diesel (HSD)/ Gas Oil Premium and directed to revise the premium on a fortnightly basis.

This summary was meant to facilitate and provide a level playing field to oil companies vis-à-vis PSO.

The chair after deliberation approved the summary and directed to revise the premium on a fortnightly basis. Therefore, its impact would increase or decrease depending on the international energy market.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr Shaukat Tarin presided over a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet.

Federal Minister National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam, Federal Minister for Privatization Muhammad Mian Soomro, Federal Secretaries and other senior officials attended the meeting.
