DWSM to remain in defaulters' segment until full compliance is achieved

August 27, 2024 (MLN): Dewan Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: DWSM) will remain listed in the Defaulters' Segment despite having paid its outstanding penalty to PSX for rectifying the non-compliance with PSX Regulation 5.1.1. (d).

According to a notice issued by PSX yesterday, this is due to ongoing non-compliance with other PSX regulations, including an adverse opinion issued by its statutory auditor in the audit report.

The company will remain in the Defaulters' Segment [to be renamed as Non-Compliant or Winding-Up Segment] until all non-compliance issues are resolved.

To recall, failure to pay the penalty imposed by the Exchange under PSX Regulation 5.21.1., was notified for the information of all concerned.
