PKR loses 30 paisa against greenback in intraday

November 15, 2022 (MLN): Dollar in the interbank was trading around Rs222.00 as of 12:45 pm and Rs225.5/227 in the open market.

Despite, recent action taken by SBP and the finance minister against the dollar speculation in market and investigation of various banks who are involved in rupee speculation, the rupee is still losing strength against the greenback.

The marginal decline in rupee is attributed to decreased foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and high import payments.

At around 12:45 pm, the rupee was trading at Rs222.00, a depreciation of Re0.30 or 0.14% against the greenback.
