Weekly Market Roundup
MG News | October 31, 2026 at 03:34 PM GMT+05:00
October 31, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index closed
the week ended October 30, 2026, at 166,409.25 points, gaining 4,034.37 points,
or 2.48% week-on-week (WoW), from 162,374.88 points recorded on October 23,
2026.
The market recovered during the week as easing crude oil
prices, supported by renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the U.S.-Israeli
conflict with Iran, eased concerns over prolonged supply disruptions and
encouraged selective buying in heavyweight stocks.
However, profit-taking after four consecutive sessions of
gains capped the advance, while concerns over potential attacks on Saudi
Arabia's energy facilities and the impact of elevated oil prices on global
demand kept investors cautious.

increased to Rs4.660 trillion during the week, compared with Rs4.554tr on

WoW.

September, while inflation expectations rose to 73.2 points, and both current

Pakistan (SBP).
The State
Bank of Pakistan’s Monetary Policy Committee raised the policy rate by 50
basis points to 12% on October 26, 2026, citing rising inflationary pressures
