DCCL to resume commercial production in 4QFY23

January 06, 2023 (MLN): The commercial production of Dandot Cement Company Limited (DCCL) is expected to resume in the last quarter of FY23 after plant upgradation, a progress report issued by the company on Friday revealed.

DCCL has awarded two contracts of civil works to Abacus Engineering and Maher Brothers for speedy progress and around 66% of civil works have been completed, while Izhar Steel (Pvt) Ltd has been awarded the contract for the fabrication and erection of a steel structure.

In addition, the company has also submitted the application for electricity load enhancement and it is accepted by the IESCO after the visit of officials from the Planning Division.
The solar power plant, land leveling, dismantling work, and compaction activities have been completed.

To note, DCCL has also injected equity of Rs1.16 billion and an aggregated amount of Rs2.37bn has been injected by the management of the company.

The company is expecting to resume its commercial activities to attain production efficiencies for long-term financial sustainability and ensure environmental compliance, and the operable life of the plant.
