DAP offtake improves by 5.5 percent during September, 2019

October 28, 2019 (MLN): The overall Dap offtake during the month of September, 2019 stood at 210 thousand tonnes, demonstrating an increase of 5.5 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year.

According to a monthly review report by National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC), the DAP offtake during Kharif 2019 was 974 thousand tonnes, i.e. 8.1 percent more than the figures reported for Kharif 2018.

DAP offtake increased in three provinces by 2, 17 and 112 percent in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan, respectively while decrease 32 percent in KP

Total availability of DAP during September 2019 was 589 thousand tonnes, which included 418 thousand tonnes stocks of previous month, domestic production of 73 thousand tonnes and imports of 98 thousand tonnes. Offtake of DAP was about 210 thousand tonnes. The closing balance works out to be 378 thousand tonnes.
