CT Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar to hold press conference in a few hours

According to media sources, care-taker Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhter will hold a press conference at around 3:00 p.m. today at Islamabad.

Finance Minister is expected to brief on the steps she is taking to stabilize the economy.

Ex-ministers of PML(N) had recently criticized the incumbent CT Finance Minsiter Dr. Shamshad of her talks with the International Monetary Fund Programme.

However, the Ministry of Finance under the CT setup had released a statement mentioning that the interim government was in talks with International Monetary Fund owing to the mandatory rules under Article IV.
