Cotton arrivals reach 6.79m bales as on October 31

November 03, 2023 (MLN): Cotton arrivals in Pakistan have reached 6.791 million bales as of October 31, 2023, data released by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) on Friday showed.

The total cotton arrivals have increased by 83.2% YoY compared to 3.708m bales in the Same Period Last Year (SPLY).

The provincial breakup shows that Punjab contributed 2.994m bales, while Sindh accounted for 3.797m bales.

In comparison to the data for October 15, in which the total arrivals were 5.996m bales, cotton arrivals increased by 13.3%.

Pakistan is among the top ten cotton-producing countries in the world, and cotton and textile products are among the country’s major exports.
