The stock market started the week with a bullish sentiment as the market gained 631.38 points, a 1.24 percent increase. The Monday’s session closed on a tally of 51,373.51 points.

The intraday market activity saw a high of 51,373.51 points with a low of 50,742.03

The top gainers in today’s session were Wyeth Pak +5.00%, Exide Pak +5.00%, ICI Pakistan +3.86%, Thal Ind Corp +4.93% and Pakistan Oil fields +4.24%.

The decliners during intraday trading were; HinoPak Motors -1.15%, Jubilee Life Ins -1.99%, Fazal Cloth -4.99%, Pakistan Cables -2.23% and Mari Petroleum -0.45%.

All Share Volume decreased by 104.86 Million to 240.19 Million Shares. Market Cap increased by Rs.100.90 Billion.

Total companies traded were 394 compared to 413 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 239 closed up, 146 closed down while 9 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 10,487 to 89,129.
