CDC begins sending dividend details through email

Central Depository Company has started sending dividend report (dividend counterfoil) to shareholders through email under its programme to provide maximum facilities to the investors.

The shareholders are going to receive their dividend, zakat and tax deduction report through email once data pertaining to dividend disbursement by listed companies has been uploaded by respective Share Registrar on CDC-eServices portal, said CDC statement here on Wednesday.

The email will be sent to shareholders having their valid email addresses in their respective CDS accounts in case of book entry securities or to the email address provided to the respective Share Registrar for physical securities.

The report as well as the shareholders' dividend history will also be available at the Dividend Repository https://eservices.cdcaccess.com.pk/public/index.xhtml for future reference.

The eServices registration process has also been made simpler and easier; simpler registration process would help encourage shareholders to use the portal and have easy access to their Dividend details.

Moreover, considering that some investors may be initially facing difficulty in obtaining the information electronically, the SECP has directed CDC to advise Issuers of listed securities to send the counterfoil information to their shareholders for the first cash dividend announced April 10, 2018 to June 30, 2019 in physical form as well.
