CCoE to approve Oil Refining Policy 2023 today

April 28, 2023 (MLN): The Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE), in its meeting which is scheduled to be held today at 1,545 hours on Friday will likely approve the Oil Refining Policy 2023 for the upgradation of existing refineries and new greenfield refineries.

The committee will also approve the National Energy Efficiency & Conservation (NEEC) Policy, 2022. 

Moreover, the National Electricity Plan 2023-27 will also be reviewed by the committee members. 

Policy guidelines for revocation of NOCS to Captive Power Plants (CPPs) selling electricity to the national grid and new connections for CPPS will be discussed. 

In addition to it, the meeting will review and discuss the draft Model Production Sharing Agreement (Draft MPSA). 

Further, the matters pertaining to the Installation of LPG Air-Mix Plant(s) by the private sector, execution of gas development schemes, and provision of new domestic connections will be considered. 

The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
