Banks' deposits plummet Rs1.3tr in two weeks

July 25, 2024 (MLN): Total deposits held with banks were recorded at Rs25.97 trillion as of July 12, 2024, depicting a sharp decline of Rs1.27tr compared to end-June 2024.
According to provisional accounts on Monetary Aggregates maintained by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), deposits held with banks fell by Rs434.56 billion compared to last week.
To note, the deposits held with banks exclude inter-bank deposits, deposits of governments, and foreign constituents.
