Auction Result: SBP Sells MTBs & PIBs worth Rs.943.39 Billion

June 30, 2021 (MLN): The State Bank fo Pakistan(SBP) conducted an auction on Wednesday in which it sold Market Treasury Bills (MTBs) worth Rs.821.45 billion for 3 and 6 months.

Auction target was Rs.450.00 billion against a maturing amount of Rs.275.00 billion.

Cut off yield for 3 and 6 months were 7.3091 and 7.5751 percent.

Total amount offered was Rs.1,329.08 billion out of which the SBP accepted Rs.772.33 billion. The SBP received bids worth Rs.475.83 billion for 3 months and Rs.803.25 for 6 months out of which it accepted Rs.307.34 billion and Rs. 465.00 billion respectively. All bids for the 12 month T-Bill were rejected.

The SBP picked up an additional Rs.49.11 billion from the non-competitive auction, making the total amount accepted Rs.821.45 billion.

In the PIB (Floating Rate) auction the SBP sold 2, 3 and 5 year PIBs worth Rs.121.946 billion against an auction target of Rs.75 billion.
