The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government will be spending over Rs 80 million to improve the transport sector in AJK.

According to sources in the Transport Department, strengthening of the transport department has been finalized at a cost of Rs 40 million, in addition to the Rs 20 million to be spent on computerization of records and Rs 20 million on other small and big projects to reform the sector.

Computerization of records of the transport department are meant to take place all over the state, in line with international departments would take into the system records pertaining to route permits, bus stands and the health of the vehicles.
