Shehbaz Sharif heads to Riyadh for Future Investment Initiative

October 27, 2025 (MLN): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departs for Saudi Arabia today to represent Pakistan at the Ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh.

This is a flagship global forum that convenes policymakers, investors, and business leaders to chart new pathways for growth.

Attending at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister will lead a high-level delegation as Pakistan seeks to deepen its economic engagement with the Kingdom and other global partners.

This year’s FII, themed “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,” will bring together global executives, innovators, and policymakers to examine trends shaping the global economy, from sustainability and innovation to economic inclusion and shifting geopolitical dynamics.

On the sidelines of the forum, Prime Minister Sharif is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the Saudi leadership to explore new avenues of cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and workforce development.

He will also hold meetings with leaders from other participating nations and heads of international organizations on the sidelines of the forum.

These engagements are aimed at fostering dialogue and building strategic partnerships across multiple sectors.

Through these interactions, the Prime Minister will underscore Pakistan’s investment potential and its commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth.

His participation aligns with the FII’s guiding philosophy to “Think, Exchange, and Act,” reflecting Pakistan’s readiness to collaborate on global economic and development initiatives.
