SCRA inflows offset Rs8.5bn net selling

August 29, 2025 (MLN): The SCRA balance increased by Rs.711.33 million during the week ending Aug 22, 2025 to close at Rs.29.79 billion.

According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a net selling of securities to the tune of Rs.8.54bn.

During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs.25.71bn through remittances, sale of securities and dividends. Inward remittances amount was Rs.2.87bn, sale of securities were recorded at Rs.22.56bn while dividend received was Rs.272.89m.

Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs.25bn. Outward remittances were Rs.10.97bn, total securities purchased amounted to Rs.14.01bn and total tax paid was Rs.7.72m.

Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS changed by Rs.9.32bn, Rs.-4.47bn and Rs.523.56m to close at Rs.703.32bn, Rs.38.41bn and Rs.18.02bn.
