SCRA balance dips amid Rs828m net selling

June 05, 2026 (MLN): The SCRA balance decreased by Rs.1.11bn during the week ending May 29, 2026 to close at Rs.27.6bn.

According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a net selling of securities to the tune of Rs.827.81m.

During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs.1.74bn through remittances, sale of securities and dividends.

Inward remittances amount was Rs.150.68m, sale of securities were recorded at Rs.1.45bn while dividend received was Rs.135.64m.

Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs.2.84bn. Outward remittances were Rs.2.22bn, total securities purchased amounted to Rs.622.32m and total tax paid was Rs.0.36m.

Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS changed by Rs.22.37bn, Rs.8.47bn and Rs.-14.51bn to close at Rs.615.56bn, Rs.103.41bn and Rs.26.89bn.
