SCRA balance climbs Rs2bn to nearly Rs30bn

October 08, 2026 (MLN): The SCRA balance increased by Rs2.02 billion during the week ending Oct 02, 2026 to close at Rs29.91bn.

According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a net buying of securities to the tune of Rs593.17 million.

During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs88.46bn through remittances, sale of securities and dividends. Inward remittances amount was Rs40.64bn, sale of securities was recorded at Rs47.18bn while dividend received was Rs642.07m.

Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs86.44bn. Outward remittances were Rs38.66bn, total securities purchased amounted to Rs47.77bn and total tax paid was Rs3.30m.

Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS changed by Rs-8.39bn, Rs8.57bn and Rs-12.47bn to close at Rs544.69bn, Rs103.21bn and Rs55.10bn.
