SBP raises Rs916bn in 22-day T-bills auction

June 18, 2025 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) successfully concluded its auction of 22-day Market Treasury Bills (MTBs) today, accepting bids worth Rs915.6 billion at a cut-off yield of 11.3607%.

The auction attracted total bids amounting to Rs1.9 trillion in face value.

The weighted average yield for the accepted amount stood at 11.2952%.

Despite the short tenor, the high demand indicated investor confidence in short-term sovereign instruments and expectations of interest rate stability in the near term.

The auction was conducted through primary dealers, with same-day settlement.
