Pakistan’s OMC sales rise 6% MoM in Aug 2025, up 7% YoY

September 02, 2025 (MLN): The sales volume of oil marketing companies (OMCs) in Pakistan rose by of 6% month-on-month (MoM) in August 2025, reaching a total of 1.3 million tons, while the year-on-year (YoY) growth increased by 7%.

For the 2MFY26, OMC sales totaled 2.52m tons, marking a 5% YoY increase.

Product-wise Performance

Motor Spirit (MS) sales stood at 0.67m tons, showing a 8% YoY increase and a 10% MoM rise from July 2025.

High-Speed Diesel (HSD) sales reached 0.52m tons, reflecting a 14% YoY growth and 3% MoM increases from last month.

Furnace Oil (FO) sales came in at 0.02 million tons, registering a 71% YoY decline and a 21% MoM rise.

In 2MFY26, the volumetric sales for MS, HSD, and FO stood at 1.29m tons, 1.03m tons, and 0.03m tons, respectively.

Company-wise Breakdown

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) remained the market leader with total sales of 0.55m tons in August 2025, with MS and HSD offtake at 0.26m tons and 0.22m tons, respectively.

Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) reported total sales of 0.11m tons. The company’s MS sales were 0.06m tons and HSD sales 0.05m tons.

Wafi Energy (WAFI) posted sales of 0.11m tons, up 16% YoY and 1% MoM.

Hascol Petroleum Limited (HASCOL) achieved total sales of 0.04 million tons, remaining flat YoY but declining 7% MoM.
