August 11, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan’s Ambassador to China undertook an orientation visit to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, reaffirming the country’s commitment to deepening multifaceted cooperation with the province-level region of China.

The visit, marked by substantive exchanges, provided insights into Inner Mongolia’s cultural heritage, economic strengths, and ecological achievements.

During meetings with Governor Wang Lixia avenues for collaboration were explored in renewable energy, livestock, ecological restoration and people to people exchanges.

Senior officials of the Inner Mongolia Foreign Affairs Office also met the Ambassador to advance consensus reached with the governor.

Two business to business roundtables were chaired with leading regional enterprises in steel, copper mining, deep refining, agriculture and animal husbandry.

Pakistan’s investment landscape, policy facilitation, and special incentives were outlined along with an invitation to participate in the Pakistan China B2B Investment Conference in Beijing this September.

The programme included visits to Honder College of Arts and Sciences, the Inner Mongolia Museum and Yili Group’s dairy facilities.

Research at the Rock Art Research Center was reviewed and desertification control projects including Mengcao company’s land restoration work were observed to explore their application in Pakistan’s green development and climate resilience initiatives.

At the end of the visit, the Ambassador told local media he appreciated Inner Mongolia’s progress under China’s “Ecological Civilization” vision and reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to work closely with the region under the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
