PSX trading to restart at 12:31pm

June 24, 2025 (MLN): The market will start its operations again at 12:31pm following a temporary suspension triggered at 11:26am by a 5% increase in the KSE-30 Index from the previous trading day’s close.
As per PSX regulations, the sharp rise activated a Market Halt, suspending all equity and equity-based markets.
The KSE-100 Index also jumped 5.06%, gaining 5,878.15 points to reach 112,045.62, with a total trading volume of 146.68 million shares at the time of the halt.
The spike in investor sentiment came amid a strong buying spree, largely driven by positive geopolitical developments, including a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran after 12 days of conflict, as revealed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The announcement, made via his social media platform Truth Social, described the agreement as marking the “Official END” to the war.
All outstanding orders were automatically cancelled by the system, as per the notice issued by PSX.
