September 22, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 157,554.66, showing a decrease of 482.71 points or 0.31%.

The index traded in a range of 1,604.62 points showing an intraday high of 158,850.34 (+812.97) and a low of 157,245.72 (-791.65) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 833.29 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 41 closed up, 58 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were FCCL (-3.40%), HMB (-3.00%), LCI (-2.84%), UBL (-2.50%), and PGLC (-2.26%).

On the other hand, top gainers were HGFA (+9.98%), GLAXO (+8.01%), MUGHAL (+7.26%), KEL (+6.08%), and CNERGY (+5.17%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-266.84pts), ENGROH (-131.83pts), MEBL (-93.84pts), FFC (-84.25pts), and LUCK (-83.01pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were PSO (+144.67pts), HUBC (+118.43pts), OGDC (+73.68pts), GLAXO (+71.73pts), and MARI (+37.81pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-697.25pts), Cement (-137.60pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-131.02pts), Fertilizer (-119.68pts), and Chemical (-22.54pts).

While the index was supported by Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+170.15pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+144.33pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+135.76pts), Pharmaceuticals (+91.96pts), and Technology & Communication (+81.20pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,348.10 with a net loss of 165.84 points or 0.33%.

Total market volume was 1,665.97 million shares compared to 2,047.81m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs60.90 billion showing a decrease of Rs8.37bn.

There were 556,381 trades reported in 483 companies with 209 closing up, 252 closing down, and 22 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 31,927 points or 25.41% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 42,428 points or 36.85% so far this calendar year.
