PSX Closing Bell: Flatlined but Holding On

September 17, 2025 MLN: KSE100 Index closed Wednesday's trading session at 156,177.81 showing a decrease of 3.13 points.

The index traded in a range of 1.236.23 points showing an intraday high of 157,196.58 (+1015.64) and a low of 155,960.35 (-220.59) points.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 367.852 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 39 closed up, 59 closed down, while 2 remained unchanged.

KSE100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 123.97, Power Generation & Distribution with 88.74, Commercial Banks with 64.76, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 35.19 and Fertilizer with 24.66 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were HUBC with 79.22, MEBL with 62.97, PPL with 58.38, OGDC with 39.05 and UBL with 38.23 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Technology & Communication with 134.61, Cement with 98.46, Real Estate Investment Trust with 38.07, Automobile Assembler with 37.91 and Textile Composite with 29.5 points.

Companies adding points to the index were SYS with 126.11, LUCK with 104.63, BOP with 92.05, TPLRF1 with 40.33 and SAZEW with 39.73 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 95,630.38 with a net loss of 60.44 points.

Total market volume was 1,499.302 million shares compared to 1,356.005 million from the previous session with traded value being recorded at 48.85 billion showing an increase of Rs.5.57 billion.

There was 511,343 trades reported in 485 companies with 235 closing up, 219 closing down and 31 remaining unchanged.
