PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Serenade The Bourse

July 11, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 134,299.76, showing an increase of 517.42 points or 0.39%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 134,931.96 (+1,149.62) and a low of 134,130.40 (+348.06) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 290.06 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 53 closed up, 43 closed down, while 4 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were KTML (+10.00%), MEHT (+10.00%), THALL (+6.45%), KOHC (+4.91%), and JVDC (+4.58%).

On the other hand, top losers were BNWM (-8.27%), GADT (-5.49%), AKBL (-3.49%), ABL (-3.33%), and BAHL (-3.30%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+235.09pts), HUBC (+73.86pts), MTL (+46.27pts), KTML (+37.79pts), and PSO (+37.09pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were BAHL (-147.27pts), MCB (-50.49pts), HBL (-49.06pts), AKBL (-32.43pts), and ABL (-21.64pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+126.27pts), Automobile Assembler (+86.74pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+65.07pts), Textile Composite (+65.02pts), and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+54.34pts).

While the index was let down by Commercial Banks (-75.87pts), Technology & Communication (-48.69pts), Chemical (-11.52pts), Textile Spinning (-8.36pts), and Miscellaneous (-5.76pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 84,018.16 with a net gain of 402.35 points or 0.48%.

Total market volume was 765.08 million shares compared to 941.72m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs40.17 billion showing an increase of Rs4.11bn.

There were 389,910 trades reported in 477 companies with 220 closing up, 228 closing down, and 29 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 8,672 points or 6.90% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 19,173 points or 16.65% so far this calendar year.
