PKR remains unchanged against USD

September 10, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) remained unchanged against the US dollar in Wednesday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 281.60 per USD, compared to previous closing of 281.61.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 282.2 and a low (ask) of 282.9.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.50 for buying and 282.90 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR rose 1.43 rupees or 0.43% against the Euro, closing at 329.48 compared to the previous value of 330.91.

Against the British Pound, PKR rose by 95.62 paisa or 0.25% to 381.02 compared to 381.98 a day ago.

The local unit appreciated 1.75 rupees or 0.49% against Swiss franc to close at 352.91.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value appreciated 0.35 paisa or 0.18% to close the session at 1.9092 versus 1.9127 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee fell 2.14 paisa or 0.05% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.54 from 39.52.

The local currency appreciated by 0.26 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 75.06. While it fell by 0.58 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.68.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has strengthened against the US Dollar by 2.16 rupees or 0.77%. While it has weakened 3.05 rupees or 1.08% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.78% and 11.03%.
