PKR close at 281.01 against USD

October 27, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 0.61 paisa the US dollar in Monday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 281.01 per USD, compared to previous closing of 281.02.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.30 and a low (ask) of 282.05.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.10 for buying and 282.05 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR deteriorated 7.72 paisa or 0.02% against the Euro, closing at 326.50 compared to the previous value of 326.43.

Against the British Pound, PKR fell by 4.81 paisa or 0.01% to 374.11 compared to 374.06 a day ago.

The local unit appreciated 71.64 paisa or 0.20% against Swiss franc to close at 352.47.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value strengthened 0.13 paisa or 0.07% to close the session at 1.8370 versus 1.8383 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee depreciated 6.02 paisa or 0.15% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.51 from 39.45.

The local currency deteriorated by 0.03 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.93. While it gained by 0.16 paisa or 0.00% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.51.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has appreciated against the US Dollar by 2.76 rupees or 0.98%. While it has weakened 2.46 rupees or 0.88% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.93% and 11.18%.
