Iran extends support to Pakistan amid flood devastation

August 25, 2025 (MLN): Iran has offered assistance for the flood-affected people of Pakistan.

The offer was made by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during a telephonic conversation with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

The Iranian Interior Minister said Pakistan is a brotherly neighboring country and that they are ready to provide every kind of assistance in this time of trial.

He also expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives due to the torrential rains and floods in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit. He said they are deeply saddened to see the destruction caused by floods in Pakistan.

Eskandar Momeni added that Iran stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan.

Mohsin Naqvi thanked his Iranian counterpart for the offer of assistance and expression of solidarity for the flood victims. He expressed the government’s commitment to the relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people.
