Govt accepts Rs23.5bn face value in GoP Ijarah Sukuk Outright Purchase

September 30, 2026 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)
conducted an auction for the outright purchase of Government of Pakistan Ijarah
Sukuk (GIS) on a deferred payment (Bai Muajjal) basis, in which the government
accepted Rs23.5bn in face value, translating to a total deferred Bai Muajjal
amount of Rs35.530bn.
The auction was held on September 30,
2026, with a sukuk delivery date of October 1, 2026.
Bids Received
Bids were received for a single tenor
of 1,096 days, for the GIS issue PK05S0610266.
Total face value offers amounted to
Rs52.6bn, with bids in a price range of 149.39 to 154.31.

Auction Results and Acceptance
Out of the total offers, the
government accepted Rs23.5bn in face value, about 44.7% of the amount offered.
The accepted amount was taken at a
cut-off deferred price of 151.19, resulting in a deferred Bai Muajjal amount of
Rs35.530bn.
