Gold plunges by Rs900 to close at Rs107,600 per tola

August 10, 2021 (MLN): Gold continued to slide in the domestic bullion market as the price of per 24-karat per tola gold observed a decline of Rs900 to stand at Rs107,600 against its sale at Rs108,500 per tola the previous day.

Likewise, the price of 10-gram 24 karat also dropped by Rs771 and was sold at Rs92,250 while that of ten-gram 22 karat traded at Rs 84,562 as per Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

The price of 24-karat silver also witnessed a drop of Rs40 and traded at Rs1400 while the price of 10-gram silver decreased by Rs34.29 to close at Rs1200.27.

Internationally, gold lose its shine as the demand for yellow metal was dented by $17 to close at $1730 as the investors’ focus has more tilted towards the upcoming CPI data which is due on Wednesday. While, the silver was traded at $23.40 an ounce.
