Bilal Fibres Board approves name change to Zuma Resources

August 12, 2025 (MLN): Bilal Fibres Limited’s (PSX: BILF) Board of Directors has approved renaming the company to “Zuma Resources Limited,” subject to name availability with the Companies Registration Office, Lahore (SECP), and subsequent shareholders’ approval.

The Board also approved increasing the authorized share capital from Rs150 million, divided into 15m ordinary shares of Rs10 each, to Rs350m, divided into 35m ordinary shares of Rs10 each, subject to shareholders’ approval.

The resignations of Mr. Muhammad Omer and Mr. Shahid Iqbal as Directors were accepted, with Mr. Sohaib Anwar and Ms. Saniya Akhter appointed in their place, the notification issued to the local bourse.

The existing auditors, Mushtaq & Company, Chartered Accountants, resigned due to over-occupancy, and A.H.W. Chartered Accountants were appointed to fill the casual vacancy.

The Board authorized the Chief Executive Officer and/or Company Secretary to complete all necessary corporate and regulatory formalities and empowered the CEO to call an Extraordinary General Meeting to seek shareholders’ approval for the name change and capital increase.
