Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs6.75bn

September 06, 2024 (MLN): The net purchase of securities for the week ended August 30, 2024 clocked in at Rs6.75bn, as compared to a net sale worth Rs459.92 million recorded last week, according to State Bank of Pakistan data.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs13.63bn, which is around 18.39% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Meanwhile, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs20.38bn, which is 25.44% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net purchase of Rs6.75bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs4.13bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs3.07bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs8.01bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs6.82bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.99bn, which marks a decline of Rs5.21bn over the week.
