Update 6: PKR plummets to 215.25/USD, down by 4.3 rupees

July 18, 2022 (MLN): Enduring a freefall on the back of rising uncertainty on the political front, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) has lost over four rupees to hit the historic low at 215.25 against the US dollar in intraday trade.

The local unit was quoted at 215.22/215.72 per US dollar [1:19 PST] compared to the previous close of 210.95 per USD.

Within the open market, the domestic unit was being traded at 212.5/215 per USD.
