Toyota Corolla makes 5.25% higher sales in September 2018

October 15, 2018 (MLN): The maximum number of passenger cars sold during September 2018 were Toyota Corolla as its sales stood at 4,426 units against sales of 4,204 units during the previous month and 4,108 units during the corresponding period of last year.

In total, about 18,834 units of passenger cars were assembled during the month while 16,957 units were sold. This demonstrated a month-on-month increase of 4.7% in production and 10.2% in sales.

Cumulatively during the quarter, around 51,221 cars were sold while during the corresponding period of last year, about 50,640 units were sold.

Categorizing these cars based on their engine powers, the maximum sales were made within the 1300 CC and above group. While Toyota Corolla made the largest sales within the lot, Honda Cars came in second with a total sale of 4,083 units during the month.

Among the 1000CC set, Suzuki WagonR was produced and sold the most as about 2,748 units were produced during the month and 2,667 units of these were sold.

Within the 800CC-1000CC group, a total of 4,222 units of Suzuki Mehran were produced during the month while only 2,320 units were sold.
